Step 1: Site survey
After you request service, our installation team reaches out to schedule a site survey at your home. A technician walks the property with you to work out the best route for the fiber line, where it should enter the house, and where your equipment will live. Nothing gets built until we know how to serve your specific home.
Step 2: Construction
Our construction crew uses what the survey found and brings fiber from our network to the entry point chosen for your home. Fiber lines are buried, which protects them from weather and yard work. If we disturb your lawn, we restore it — putting the yard back the way we found it is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Step 3: Splicing
This is the step most people never hear about, and it is where fiber earns its reliability. Our splicing team fuses your dedicated fiber line strand by strand, using precision equipment to join the glass into one continuous, sealed path. A clean splice is what lets light travel to your home with no loss — and it is why a properly built fiber connection still performs years later.
Step 4: Install and activation
Our install team brings the connection to life inside the house. They set up your equipment, get whole-home Wi-Fi running, test your speeds, and walk you through everything before leaving. A typical appointment takes about an hour. Someone needs to be home, and the technician does need to come inside — the fiber has to terminate indoors and we test the connection before we call it done.
Before your appointment
Think about where you actually use Wi-Fi: home office, living room, bedrooms, basement, the porch. Telling your installer which areas matter most helps them place equipment for the coverage you care about rather than guessing.
What it costs
There is a one-time installation fee between $25 and $150, depending on how far your home sits from the road. If fiber has already been run to your home, that fee is waived and only a $25 activation charge applies.
