Outdoor Wi-Fi Terms
Last Updated: September 15, 2026This page covers the eero Outdoor 7 add-on only. Your underlying internet service is governed by our Terms of Service, which still applies. Where the two disagree about the Outdoor 7 unit itself, this page controls.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By requesting Outdoor Wi-Fi, checking the consent box on the request form, or using an installed Outdoor 7 unit, you agree to be bound by these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not request or use the service.
2. Eligibility
Outdoor Wi-Fi is available only to current Community Fiber / NPTech broadband customers using an eero network. It cannot be purchased on its own, and it is not available at every address — every request is assessed before installation. If you do not yet have an eero network indoors, we may still review your request and talk through adding one before Outdoor Wi-Fi can be installed.
3. Service and Installation
Outdoor Wi-Fi covers one eero Outdoor 7 unit per account, extending your indoor eero network to a single outdoor area. These terms do not cover additional units. Submitting a request is not a guarantee of service: NPTech decides final placement and scope after reviewing your request and, where needed, a site visit. We do not promise a specific coverage distance — actual range depends on your property, obstructions, mounting location, and conditions on the day.
A standard installation covers a typical mount within normal reach of your home's network and power. Anything beyond that — additional cabling, non-standard mounting, or difficult access — is a custom installation, quoted separately after a site survey.
4. Pricing and Billing
- Outdoor Wi-Fi is $15/month while subscribed, billed alongside your internet service.
- Standard installation is a one-time $99 fee, billed on your first invoice after install. This fee may be waived as part of a promotional offer.
- Custom installations are quoted separately after a site survey; no fixed price is published for them.
5. Equipment Ownership and Return
The eero Outdoor 7 unit remains NPTech's property at all times. It is provided for your use while subscribed to Outdoor Wi-Fi, not sold to you.
If Outdoor Wi-Fi service ends, or the unit is lost or damaged beyond ordinary wear, before you have completed 24 consecutive months of active Outdoor Wi-Fi subscription, you will be charged a fee equal to the unit's then-current retail price. Once you have completed 24 consecutive months of active subscription, no such fee applies, whether or not the unit is returned — though NPTech may still ask for it back. Ordinary wear from normal outdoor use is not damage; deliberate or accidental damage beyond that is treated the same as a lost unit for this purpose.
This is separate from ordinary equipment failure. A unit that stops working on its own — not lost, not damaged — is repaired or replaced at no charge for as long as you are actively subscribed to Outdoor Wi-Fi, with no time limit and regardless of how long you have had it.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel Outdoor Wi-Fi on its own, at any time, without cancelling your underlying internet service — there is no fixed contract term. Section 5 above still applies to any cancellation that happens before 24 months of active subscription.
Because Outdoor Wi-Fi is only available to active broadband subscribers, cancelling your Community Fiber / NPTech internet service ends Outdoor Wi-Fi automatically, and Section 5 applies to that cancellation the same way it would to a direct one.
7. Support
Support for Outdoor Wi-Fi is included while you are subscribed, from the same local team that supports your internet service.
8. No Guarantee of Coverage
Outdoor Wi-Fi is an extension of your existing network, not a new guaranteed service. Signal strength and reliability in the covered area can be affected by weather, obstructions, interference, and the distance and materials between your indoor equipment and the outdoor unit. An initial assessment is a first read of your situation, not a promise of a particular result.
9. Limitation of Liability
NPTech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the installation, use, or inability to use Outdoor Wi-Fi, including service interruptions or gaps in outdoor coverage.
